Masculine Card

I often get requests for masculine cards, so here's one! 

Base card - Soft Suede embossed with the new Fancy Fan Embossing Folder for the Big Shot #127751.

Strip of Designer Series Paper from Comfort Cafe #126898.  I like this paper because it has lots of prints that are very neutral.

The stamp set is Serene  Silhouettes (#127322 Wood; #127324 Clear).  I stamped it in Black Stazon on a piece of Whisper White cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits #125598. I then punched a circle for the moon out of a post-it note using the 1" circle punch.  I then attached the circle in the uppper corner and applied Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy ink using a sponge dauber.  After applying the ink I removed the post-it circle and there's the moon!

Autumn Spice Designer Series Paper

I'm participating in some fun card challenges with Create with Connie and Mary (CCMC-HM2).  This week's challenge is to use the colors in the Autumn Spice Designer Series Paper, which are Cajun Craze, Old Olive, More Mustand and Early Espresso.  Here's what I came up with.  One of the nice things about these colors is they work great for a masculine card.  I always have customers asking for masculine card ideas, so here's one for you.  The Cajun Craze card stock was put through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing folder with Early Espresso ink rubbed all over the inside of the embossing folder before putting it through the Big Shot. 

This is also my card for tomorrow night's Chicks & Chocolate shoebox event.  Every other month, a group of us get together for a shoebox (and chocolate).  At a shoebox, you design a card and put all the supplies to make your card in a shoebox and then we get together and pass the shoeboxes and make each others cards.  It's a fun way to get cards, have fun together, and also use your stampin' stuff.  Every one is welcome.  We have beginning and advanced stampers.
